Nikki used only an X-acto knife, and cuts out her images from a single sheet of black construction paper—creating a bold language that translates the complex poetry of motherhood, nature, and activism into a simple and endearing picture.
A New Materialism is one of Nikki's most gorgeous images; the natural lines of her paper-cuts are filled in with a subtle texture of pink flowers.
These posters were offset printed with vegetable-based inks on a 100% recycled paper by a family-owned print shop in Portland, Oregon. These posters are thinner than our archival prints and do eventually fade over time (years unless in direct sunlight). They are great, lower cost posters that can easily be put on any wall without a frame.
