When you do business with buyolympia.com, we assure you that your information will be kept confidential and as secure as possible. Our rules are common sense-based ideas that we expect when we shop.
Your Personal Information
We will not rent or sell or otherwise give out your name, address, email or what you ordered to any third party without your permission. In our over 27 years in business, we've never wavered in this.
Your Payment Information
We do not store credit card information. When you place an order with us, your payment information is passed securely to Stripe, our bank and/or PayPal (depending on how you choose to check out), your card is authorized, and we store the encrypted authorization information—not the actual credit card information. This means you need to enter payment information every time you shop with us, but we feel it's a reasonable trade-off for your security and peace of mind.
Sending You Emails
When you order from us, we'll only send you email for these reasons:
- Confirm an order you placed.
- Ask you a clarifying question in case we're out of something or need more information.
- Let you know that an order has shipped.
During checkout, you're asked if you'd like to join our mailing list.
If you join our mailing list you can expect a few regular emails from us:
- Our regular newsletter, usually once a month, sometimes twice a month if we have a lot of new stuff to share.
- Rare, one-off product alerts for things we think you might want to know about; like if you ordered a magazine in the past and we've got a new issue. We usually put this information in our newsletters, but some folks have expressed interest in knowing as soon as a new recurring item like a magazine arrives in the shop.
