Anxietyland

In 2018, Gemma Correll found herself in the middle of a panic attack that seemed to last for weeks.

Unable to do much more than wander the streets, she checked herself into the hospital to finally face “The Bad Feeling” that had followed her since childhood.

With her sharp wit and instantly recognizable illustrations, Correll takes readers on a tour through Anxietyland, an inner world shaped by anxiety, depression, agoraphobia, and dissociation.

Honest, strange, and unexpectedly comforting, this graphic memoir reminds us there’s no neat path to feeling better, only the choice to keep moving forward.
