This limited edition print is reproduced from an original illustration-collage created with India ink, gouache, and gold-leaf joss paper.

The image is one of eleven original artworks Veirs created during the making of her 2026 album, Temple Songs—one illustration for each song. This piece accompanies the album's first single, "Flying Into Darkness," a meditation on searching for rest and inner stillness in a chaotic world. The original artwork appears throughout the album package—including the vinyl and CD editions—and in a handmade companion songbook.

Recorded in October and November of 2025, Temple Songs marks the first album Veirs created entirely on her own: writing, performing, engineering, arranging, and producing every track. She created both the album and these illustrations in her backyard studio, the "Temple of Bloom", where music and visual art evolved side by side.
