Ruthie
Children's Book
Pre-Order Comes With Exclusive Mini-Print!

This is a Pre-Order that ships mid-late March 2026.

Take a walk with pampered pooch Ruthie in this brilliantly silly picture book from Esmé Shapiro.

Ruthie may look like a dog, but he's really a prince who has it all — a bone, a fish, a piece of cake he's been saving for three years, a castle (his house), and a queen to look after him (his owner).

Most days, Ruthie can be found enjoying his beauty naps, snacking on a butterberry pancake and partaking in his daily bubble bath to ensure he stays squeaky clean. Nevertheless, Ruthie dreams about what's beyond those castle walls.

One day, a chance to escape presents itself to Ruthie, and he seizes it. But he quickly finds that life outside the castle walls isn't all it's cracked up to be.

He's cold, there are no butterberry pancakes, and worst of all— he's stinky. He misses his castle and most importantly, his queen.

Will Ruthie ever be able to find his way home? Will he be able to make friends along the way? Or is he fated to a cold, lonely life outside the castle walls?
