The Tattooed Lady

Emily Winfield Martin is a #1 New York Times best-selling author and illustrator and we’ve had the pleasure of working with her for her entire career.

This print is from her wonderful show "Lost on the Midway" that was in the Land Gallery in 2010. The series, which depicts an imaginary carnival was inspired by a line from a Tom Waits song, it is a world filled with oddities, eerie-green skies, and gentle loveliness.

Emily says about this print, "This piece is the title piece from the "She is the sweetheart of the carnival - the pretty tattooed lady in the scarlet cape."

Expertly printed with an 11-ink fade-resitant color process on a smooth, enhanced archival matte paper creating rich blacks and vibrant colors by the Land Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
