Skosh
Juice Glass

Portland, Oregon-based artist and educator Jason Sturgill just wants a skosh of beverage please.

Skosh is a word that many Americans know and use on a regular basis whenever they want “a little” of something.

Some people think it’s slang from midwest or possibly Yiddish, when in reality it’s derived from the Japanese word Sukoshi which means “a little”.

The slang version of the word that we know was brought back from the Korean War by American GI’s and it has spread into ubiquity.
