Sean Tejaratchi is an American graphic designer, art director and writer.
He is currently based in Los Angeles, but cut his teeth working on alt-weeklies in Portland, Oregon in the 90s.
Sean is known for creating the clip art zine Crap Hound, and was voted one of "The 25 Funniest People on Twitter" by Rolling Stone in 2012. He also is known for the blog LiarTownUSA that defined what a modern satirist is in the early 2000s.
Are you ready to be overcome with admiration? Behold: From May 2020 to February 2021, I finished three and one-third issues of Crap Hound: Additions 2020 and accompanying Black Cats Mini-Issue, Books & Bees, and the one you’re holding.
You’ll be further stuffed with awe when I remind you this issue and Books & Bees are both 12 pages beyond the usual 100-page ceiling. I know what you’re thinking, and you’re right—My god, he’s riding the lightning straight to the top of Party Mountain!
Engorged as I am with the power of superhuman productivity, I know these ideal conditions can’t last. This heroic pace is largely enabled by the continuing coronavirus lockdown. It’s all getting pretty fucking stupid by this point, having reached “pretty fucking tiresome” several months back. (There, that’s a little time capsule for future readers, a crisp little packet of irritation from February 2021.)
Real life already seems to be creeping back in at the edges, however, and other projects will need attention soon. Let’s savor this unexpected viral bounty while it lasts.
